“I wanted a backpack that would endure the extreme, outdoor lifestyle that I love. I wanted a pack that would fit me, and my adventures and I just couldn’t find one anywhere,” says founder and CEO Alisa Bean on the inspiration behind the project. “Living in Hawaii, my daily activity was hiking. Encountering, rain, the ocean, lakes and moisture were just part of the adventure. I could rarely find good ways to keep my valuables or even towels dry that weren’t excessive or bulky, while still having the ability to go on long hikes. And I knew we weren’t the only people experiencing this.”
The Artemis is 35 liters and spacious enough to carry everything needed for a weekend trip, while still being lightweight and functional. The smaller, detachable modular bag is wearable as a fanny or shoulder bag and designed for small day hikes or for taking in inclement weather. It is perfectly sized so travelers can keep keys, phones, cameras, wallets and other valuables with them while out exploring.
