The Haemorrhoid Clinic Expands London Locations
Cosmedics Skin Clinics has expanded its Haemorrhoid Clinic offerings, having opened its third location. The services aim to make convenient and effective haemorrhoid treatments more available to private patients.
London, United Kingdom – April 18, 2024 —
Operated by Cosmedics Skin Clinics, The Haemorrhoid Clinic has announced its ongoing expansion with a new location, responding to increased demand for private treatment of piles and related conditions in London. After launching in the Summer of 2021, the Haemorrhoid Clinic has been offering advanced treatments, with a team headed by leading London Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, Mr Alex Von Roon MB CHB Ph.D. FRCS.
Once exclusively located at Cosmedics’ Harley Street Clinic in central London, the Haemorrhoid Clinic’s services were later opened in the City of London clinic and now consultations and treatments are available in Putney, making the service available to those in South West London for the first time.
Originally operated by a solo practitioner, the Haemorrhoid Clinic has since been joined by two more surgeons, Mr. Piero Nastro MD, MRCS (England), FRCS – Consultant Colorectal Surgeon & Haemorrhoid Expert, and Mr Shashank Gurjar (Shanks) FRCS MSc Dip(MedEd) MBBS -Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon, and the service is now available in three separate clinic locations.
Specializing in haemorrhoid treatment of troublesome piles and other related conditions, the Haemorrhoid Clinic brings an extensive selection of treatments, including radiofrequency ablation, also known as the Rafaelo procedure, which uses radiofrequency to treat the piles. The treatment works by heating the haemorrhoids up which then causes them to shrink and seal off. The success rate is around 90% in a single one-off treatment.
Other more traditional treatment options are also available, which may offer a cost-effective solution for smaller piles. Banding or ligation involves placing a tiny rubber ligature around the haemorrhoid. This cuts off the blood supply so that it simply shrivels and falls away.
Another alternative is haemorrhoid injections. Here a very sticky substance is injected into the pile. This then causes the haemorrhoids to shrink and collapse. The clinic also offers further treatment conditions such as anal fissures, anal skin tags, and anal warts.
The Haemorrhoid Clinic aims to offer a range of advantages to those who might otherwise be struggling to get the treatment they need on the NHS. This includes a lack of waiting lists, direct bookings so that patients don’t have to wait for referrals, and a choice of 3 specialist consultant surgeons. There are 3 clinic locations in London that clients can choose from, and they’re able to get confidential and discrete service, often on the same day where required or possible.
