The Innocent Banker Book is Unveiled to the Public

Based on True Events, the Book Tells the Story of the Rise and Fall of a Banker that Started his Own Firm

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / June 7, 2016 / Paul Peretz, an author with IKON International Group, recently announced the launch of his new novel, The Innocent Banker. The Novel, which is based on a true story, takes the reader through the life of Bob Foster, an American banker, who founds an investment-banking firm but soon realizes that his clients are not as truthful as they first claimed to be.

According to a synopsis of the novel, after many years of working for a large European financial institution, Foster created a soon-to-be banking firm based in Luxembourg. After attracting and serving various clients from Germany, New York, Hong Kong, and other places across the globe, Foster discovers that his customers are involved in illegal activities. The authorities begin to investigate Foster, and he ends up facing a multitude of lawsuits and loses the respect he gained by being one of the top bankers in the world.

Peretz takes his readers through the various aspects of Foster’s life, including his romantic relationship with Maria, a woman he met on a business trip to Venezuela. He ends up being arrested and has to make the choice to save his and his wife’s lives by turning against his former–but powerful–clients.

“This story is about criminal and civil trials and life under the US federal witness protection program,” said Peretz. “Foster is instrumental in helping the Justice Department obtain a billion dollar sanction and fines against his former employer. He is forced to break the Swiss banking secrecy laws in order to stay alive.”

At this time, Peretz has taken his campaign to Kickstarter, where he is raising the funds necessary to complete The Innocent Banker. The money collected will also pay for editing, cover development, and publishing expenses. Peretz is offering supporters signed copies of his novel in exchange for their support.
