Thousand Oaks Employment Company Launches Pay- it-Forward Holiday Hiring Drive

December 01, 2017 – –

Express Employment Professionals is promoting their annual Pay-it-Forward Holiday Hiring Drive. Express, a leading employment company in Thousand Oaks, CA, is again striving to put 100 unemployed county residents to work this holiday season. The goal of this drive is to give encouragement and purpose to as many job seekers as possible by providing them the opportunity to earn a paycheck in time for the holidays. This in turn allows them to provide for their families during the month of December.

By joining Express in their hiring efforts, employers will gain a qualified worker and give the gift of employment to an unemployed candidate from November 13th through December 22nd. This event is open to the community to participate in as well as local businesses. Express associates are screened and evaluated before being placed in either short or long-term assignments in a variety of administrative, professional and commercial positions. Employers can subsequently provide an Express employee a work reference for him or her to utilize in their future employment searches.

“Pay-it-Forward to us means working with local businesses to help find jobs for unemployed workers in our community so they can earn a paycheck during December to assist in providing for their families this holiday season,” said Express’s Ventura County owner, Neil McMillan. “Our vision is to partner with businesses in Ventura County to bring hope to local families for the holidays.”

The Pay-it-Forward program provides businesses with additional support often needed during one of the busiest times of the year. For every unemployed job seeker hired and every new client referred to the recruitment company in Thousand Oaks, CA, a $50 donation will be made by Express to Lighthouse for Women and Children. The Lighthouse for Women and Children, serving homeless single women as well as women with children, established its Life Recovery program in 1998, offering a transitional living program that included a program for recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. In December of 2003, the Lighthouse established a year-round emergency shelter that also serves as an overflow shelter when the two domestic violence shelters in the County are full.

Today, with an overall capacity of 112 beds, the Lighthouse offers a full range of care specifically tailored to the needs of homeless women and children by offering shelter, intervention, substance abuse recovery, case management, education, life skills development, vocational training, employment, and transitional housing.

The Express mission is to help as many people as possible find good jobs, by helping as many clients as possible find good people. Express serves professional, administrative and industrial employers with temporary, evaluation and direct hire employees.
