Top Miami Trainer Shines as NFL Bargaining Begins

With the oncoming NFL 2015 Season, many players will return from the off season in “game” shape after training with pro trainer and Legacy Fit founder, Manning Sumner of Miami, Florida.

As most football fans sit back in their recliners, remote control in hand, watching and waiting for the NFL 2015 season to begin, Manning Sumner, owner and founder of Miami’s top gym, Legacy Fit, oversees the off-season conditioning of many of our NFL heroes.

Sought after by professional athletes from nearly every sport, Sumner has established himself as one of the top personal and professional trainers in the country.

“It’s not easy for these guys to keep their discipline after the season is over,” Sumner offered. “Especially when there is pain or injury involved. Specifically, football can be a brutal sport and requires intense conditioning and training to maintain a game ready body and mind during the off season. That’s where I come in.”

Well known as a relentless trainer, Sumner has attracted, in addition to off-season athletes, many athletes seeking conditioning and rehabilitation following injuries. NBA Star, Shaun Livingston, was able to return to professional basketball despite a devastating knee injury in 2008 that would have ended most careers. Livingston approached Sumner after initial surgeries and rehab failed to get him back to “game shape.” In July of 2014, ESPN reported Livingston back as good, if not better, than before the injury.

“Shaun is a great success story for me,” a grinning Sumner stated. “But, the truth be told, he is a ‘never say die’ kind of guy and that’s what it takes to come back from the type of injury he sustained.”

Named Miami’s top trainer by Ocean Drive Magazine in January of 2013, Sumner found himself in great demand among the sport’s world elite athletes and the need for a larger, more professional training facility became apparent. Sumner left the building he had called Legacy Fit since 2008 and, in early 2014, opened a 20,000 square foot facility in the Miami area, offering not only professional level training to pro athletes, but also boot-camp style and structured programs for the consumer.

By June of 2014, Entrepreneur Magazine listed Sumner’s fitness center, Legacy Fit, as one of the top ten fitness franchise opportunities in the country. Backed by his “mantra” manual, No Days OFF, Sumner has reached a pinnacle in fitness in Miami and is currently offering franchising in South Florida for his highly successful fitness center and philosophy.

“’No Days OFF’ isn’t just about fitness, it’s about life in general,” the trainer explained. “Never take a day off from being the best you that you can be. If you’re deep sea fishing or doing your job or working out, it applies to life all around. Be the best you that you can be…always.”

As Miami Dolphin Pro Bowl Offensive Tackle Brandon Albert hits camp in game ready condition and Cleveland Brown Pro Bowl Cornerback Joe Haden hits a new high in his vertical leap, Sumner can sit back in his recliner (not that he would!) and know that he has lived up to the accolades he so well deserves.
