Cincinnati, United States – April 24, 2015 /PressCable/

A+ Tutoring Test/Preparation is proud to announce help in its transitional program for students who are preparing for the ACT test in June. The ACT, which last changed in 2005 to accommodate an optional writing portion, is the most taken college entrance exam in the nation, with over 1.5 million students haven taken it this last year. A+ Tutoring, with its reputation for excellence in the Tri-County areas of Mason, West Chester, Loveland, and Cincinnati, stands poised to help students with the newest change.

The largest change currently taking place on the ACT test is in the optional writing section, with students now needing to evaluate multiple perspectives on a complex issue and generate an analysis based on reasoning knowledge and experience. The scoring on this new section will include changes from a single score reporting to an analytic reporting on four domain scores: ideas & analysis, development and support, organization and language use. This info, meant to better information about college and career readiness, will help certain schools make decisions about whether a student is best fitted for one or all of its programs or not.

Mr DiSalvo, founder and chief tutor of A+, had this to say about the nature of the new ACT lessons his company will institute:

“As an academic professional, and a follower of the news concerning the SAT and ACT, I am happy to accommodate students who need help understanding the nature of these new additions. Having helped several students get perfect scores on their English and Reading sections, and having seen students achieve perfect 12s on the Writing test through the methods I teach, I believe our classes will help my pupils excel even more in this new format.”

Though the ACT continues to make slight changes to its test, including offering a new computer based format, the biggest change anticipated is the format of the Science section, in which it has been reported that students will be allowed some interactivity with the test questions through a computer interface. Mr DiSalvo said that if and when these changes are finally instituted, there will also be some time for students to adapt as an adequate number of computers must be found for the numbers of students taking these tests in the assigned locations. Though having helped students to achieve 99th percentile scores in this section, Mr DiSalvo understands a priority will be needed to help students understand scientific principles in more depth so they can manipulate proper variables, whether the test be online or off.
