TWF and Others Sponsor “Jump for Jake’s” Fundraiser/Photo Shoot for Non-Profit, Jake’s Diapers
Leading online marketing company, Team Wildflower, LLC, is teaming up with Fun Pros Events, David Bayer Photography, Willow Hill Photography and Wittman Fun Land Park to raise funds for Appleton’s Jake’s Diapers, a local non-profit that provides diapers to struggling families worldwide.

On August 23, 2015, Wittman Fun Land Park in Appleton, Wisconsin will transform into an inflatables wonderland for “Jump for Jake’s”, a fundraising event to benefit local non-profit organization, Jake’s Diapers. The fundraiser will feature the inflatables of Fun Pros Events, donated by company owner Wayne Nolden, in addition to face painting, cotton candy and more. David Bayer Photography will be on hand piloting a drone for aerial shots and footage of the fundraiser, while Willow Hill Photography will be taking still photos.
“Jake’s Diapers is close to my heart,” said Nolden, the self-proclaimed Chief “Fun” Officer of Fun Pros Events. “What an amazing thing the women who founded the organization are doing.”
Jake’s Diapers was founded in 2013 by Stephanie Bowers and Ann Hinkfuss, both of the Appleton area. Following a disturbing visit to an orphanage in Peru while on a women’s retreat with their church, the founders were moved to begin helping in any way they could. The foundation Jake’s Diapers is the result.
“It was awful,” said Bowers, Jake’s Diapers co-founder and mother of two. “While they were taking great care of the 15 babies at the orphanage, the lack of diapers was very apparent. They were literally washing disposable diapers to use them again and again.”
Today, Jake’s Diapers has affected more than 2,000 families worldwide by providing over 20,000 diapers in not only the US, but in developing countries around the globe.
“The diapers we provide aren’t like your mother’s old cloth and safety pinned diapers,” elaborated Bowers. “We provide cloth diapers that snap on and can be washed again and again. We discovered very quickly that cloth diapers are much more effective than costly disposables and provide much more use.”
Dependent entirely upon donations, in two short years Jake’s Diapers has placed 20 diaper drop boxes in 15 different countries.
“We’ve come a long way in a very short period of time,” co-founder Ann Hinkfuss added. “But there is so much more to do. It’s just heartbreaking when a family has to choose between food or diapers because they earn only $3 a week working. We are trying to change that…buy food, we’ll get you diapers.”
In addition to fundraising, the Jump for Jake’s event is the setting for photography to be used for promotion, press and exposure for the non-profit and the organizers of the event.
“We have an opportunity here to get more exposure for Jake’s Diapers and the wonderful companies that are donating their services and time for the cause,” offered Jenn Finnell, CEO and founder of Team Wildflower, LLC. “Parents will be asked to sign a release, and all in attendance will have a chance to be a part of promotional materials including websites and national press coverage AND help babies around the world at the same time.”
“Jump for Jake’s” is scheduled to begin on August 23, 2015 at 11 AM, CST, ending at 2 PM CST at Wittman Fun Land Park, located just East of Highway 441 on the West side of Appleton Road. Entry cost is only $10 for access to all inflatables. Other activities and refreshments will be available for purchase. Those attending are asked to dress colorfully for photo purposes. Proceeds of the event will go to Jake’s Diapers.*
