UK Guan Yin Citta, a Charity Led by Buddhist Master Jun Hong Lu, Distributes FREE Fruits at the Wirral Culture and Diversity Festival 2018

BIRKENHEAD, ENGLAND / ACCESSWIRE / August 31, 2018 / On 25th August 2018, from 10am to 4pm, the Wirral Culture and Diversity festival 2018 was held at St Laurence’s School, in the town of Birkenhead, North West region of the UK. Despite it being a breezy day, the event attracted hundreds of people from different racial backgrounds with diversified religious and cultural beliefs. This festival aims to celebrate the cultural diversity in the borough and bring all communities together with wonderful flavors of dance, culture and food from around the globe as well as interactive workshops.

The event was organized by Wirral Change, a Black and Racial Minorities Outreach Service offering support to the disadvantaged communities on a whole range of issues. Its mission of promoting cultural diversity and ethical quality corresponds to UK Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Charity’s objectives, which focus on fostering racial and religious harmony with the promotion of equality and compassion. Several volunteers from UK Guan Yin Citta Buddhist Charity remarked, ”We are very delighted to be part of the event and be given such a great opportunity to share Buddhist Master Jun Hong Lu’s teachings of love, kindness, compassion, as well as other core values of Mahayana Buddhism with the people in the communities.”

Early in the morning, with piles of billowy clouds beautifully scattered through the sky of Birkenhead countryside, large numbers of visitors were pouring into St Laurence’s School. Upon approaching the main entrance, one would hardly miss the volunteers in vibrant red-coloured uniforms giving out apples and mandarin oranges to the attendees for free. The Free Fruit Giveaway is a practical activity to practice giving, transmitting loving and kindness to people in the neighborhood. The participants who expressed their interest towards Mahayana Buddhism and the teachings from Master Jun Hong Lu were offered some Buddhist books in English and Chinese, together with bags of lucky rice as free gifts.

In the afternoon, a 10-minute video presentation highlighting Master Jun Hong Lu’s teachings was conducted in the school. The video thoroughly introduced Master Jun Hong Lu’s dedications to the promotion of Buddhism and world peace. His selfless efforts of helping people alleviate from suffering won him worldwide reputations and respect from millions of followers around the globe. The video sharing session was a huge success and received positive response from attendees of different races and cultural backgrounds. At the end of the video presentation, a volunteer representative from UK Guan Yin Citta asserted that many Buddhist friends and practitioners have benefitted from practicing Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door, with the cultivation of loving-kindness and compassion through performing good deeds and selfless giving. It is credited to the teachings of Master Jun Hong Lu that volunteers from UK Guan Yin Citta are very keen to help and share their life-changing experiences with those who might need help.

With the idea of cultural harmony filtered into the hearts of the attendees, the event ended in a warm and peaceful atmosphere. Followed by this successful FREE Fruits Giveaway and Dharma Propagation activities in Birkenhead, the UK Guan Yin Citta Charity Foundation will continue to make persistent efforts to promote Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door and hold more Free Fruit Giveaway activities in various places of UK, fostering love and compassion within the neighborhood and communities. As Master Lu said, ”Blessings come from a generous heart. Those who give are the most blessed.” A small act of kindness is like a drop of water, creating a positive ripple effect on everyone.
