Untapped Potential set to expand to Atlanta and Douglasville Georgia

Leading provider of independent living program, Untapped Potential, announces its expansion to Atlanta and Douglasville Ga.

Untapped Potential ILP (UP) is an approved provider of the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) independent living program serving 18 to 21-year-olds who are currently in the state of Georgia’s foster care system. In line with the social services provider’s goal of reaching as many youth as possible and making the community a better place to live, work and play for everyone, the agency is expanding its services to Atlanta and Douglasville Ga. This expansion will bring the agency’s innovative, life-changing programs to these communities and consequently help more youth in these areas reach their potential.

Young adults of today, particularly between the ages of 18 and 21, are often susceptible to a variety of social vices that hinder them from becoming responsible adults and valuable contributors to their communities. These challenges are magnified for youth in the foster care system. Untapped Potential offers a wide range of programs aimed at helping youth grow into independent, responsible adults. Their program offers stable and safe housing, life coach services and additional resources that help participants acquire the skills necessary to function as an independent adult. The services provided by Untapped Potential are broadly categorized into Learning and Application, Positive Youth Development and Strengthened Community Connections. Services also include counseling, on-going case management, financial education, and daily living skills.
