Vernon Litigation Group and Attorney Kristian Kraszewski File Second Claim

Vernon Litigation Group and Attorney Kristian Kraszewski to file another claim relating to Miller Energy and other Energy Investments.

The Law Firm of Vernon Litigation Group and Attorney Kristian P. Kraszewski have again joined forces to file a FINRA arbitration claim against both Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. and Cetera Advisors, LLC. As with the case filed earlier this year, the Claimants in this case relied on financial advisor Abraham Heimann, who worked for both Oppenheimer and Cetera. A review of Heimann’s CRD reveals he is no longer registered with FINRA as a financial advisor and he worked for 7 different brokerage firms over his career.

In addition to this claim, and the multi-million claim filed earlier this year by Vernon Litigation Group, Oppenheimer also has another investor claim against it relating to Heimann’s alleged suitability and trading violations while at Oppenheimer.

This most recent Claim asserts the Claimants were encouraged by Heimann to buy Miller Energy, even to the extent of recommending a loan to buy more Miller Energy. According to the Claim, before making the recommendations, Heimann understood and was fully aware that that Claimants could not replace their savings. Nevertheless, the Claim asserts that Heimann disregarded Claimants’ position, failed to make the adequate warnings, and made the risky investment. The Claim also asserts that the Claimants were charged excessive fees, costs, and commissions.

In this latest filing, Vernon Litigation and Kraszewski are seeking both compensatory and punitive damages from both Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. and Cetera Advisors, LLC.
