The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has provided information showing that the number of such incidences was 5 percent higher in 2014 than in 2013. The BLS also states that 15 percent of all occupational injuries in 2014 were due to contact with objects and equipment. The Walker County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call and found the construction worker while the local coroner verified the unfortunate details of the incident.
