Wallin & Klarich, A Law Corporation today announced it will award the 2017 Wallin & Klarich scholarship to Navdeep Kaur.

Ms. Kaur will be attending the University of San Francisco, School of Law beginning this fall. As the recipient of the Wallin & Klarich Scholarship, she will receive $2,500 from Wallin & Klarich, A Law Corporation to be applied toward her school tuition, books and/or any materials required for her studies.

The Wallin & Klarich Scholarship is a biannual scholarship available to all students attending their first year at an accredited California law school. The goal of the scholarship is to aid students who have overcome obstacles to be admitted to law school and now face the financial burden of attempting to obtain a degree in law school.

Based in Tustin, California, Wallin & Klarich practices criminal defense and thus awards the scholarship only to a student who is interested in pursuing a career in criminal law.

In order to qualify for the scholarship, applicants must have achieved a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 in undergraduate studies. Candidates for the Wallin & Klarich Scholarship are required to construct an essay describing their interest in criminal law and detailing the challenges they have faced in order to get to where they are today and how those challenges have shaped who they are as a person.

Ms. Kaur is the third winner of the scholarship, which was awarded for the first time in 2015. The previous winner, Victoria Tang, is currently attending the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.
