Dr. Deanine Picciano offers women specific workshops. Dr. Deanine Picciano AP, LMT is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and body worker with twenty years experience focusing on women’s specific health care issues.

Serving on the advisory board for the Florida College of Natural Health, has kept her current on the latest technology for women such as midwives and natural birthing. She is a contributing educator for The Rosemary Birthing Home childbirth education class for expecting families, ICAN (The International Cesarean Awareness Network), and FSMTA (Florida State Massage therapy Association)

Currently offering classes entitled “The Feminine Reconnection-Reclaiming Self Care For Women,” the class will focus on legendary Dr. Deanine Picciano, AP, LMT vast experience in women’s health issues in todays’ chaotic medical climate. Dr. Deanine has over 20 years of experience as a healer, health practitioner and educator. She excelled as a former faculty member at the East West College of Natural Medicine, Florida College of Natural Health and Sarasota School of Massage Therapy.

This class will explore the historical and cultural traditions of honoring the menstrual cycle and where women are in modern culture today. What has been lost and how to reconnect to the wisdom of one’s ancestors.

Learn the basic anatomy and physiology of the pelvis, uterus, menstrual cycle and its associated 4 phases and how it relates to the lunar cycle and phases of the moon.

Discover the specific needs at each phase so one can better support the flows of energy in the body with specific foods, herbs, supplements, essential oils and self care practices.

Understand the correlative relationships that may be encountered with each stage of the menses such as migraine, back pain, sciatica, water retention stress, fatigue and PMS and skin issues.

Learn how to make a castor oil pack, what treatment methods may be beneficial at each phase and how to support the body with basic breathing techniques, detoxification strategies and yoga stretches.

Discover ways to naturally prepare the body for pregnancy, re-balance after pregnancy and transition into menopause.
