Women’s Leadership Symposium Convenes 300 Leaders to Explore Feminine Leadership
On Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, the Society of Femininity in Action (SOFIA) & the Wright Foundation for the Realization of Human Potential brought together nearly 300 women leaders from across the Chicago to discuss how to create a “world that works for everyone”.

On Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, the Society of Femininity in Action (SOFIA) & the Wright Foundation for the Realization of Human Potential brought together nearly 300 women leaders from across the Chicago to discuss how to create a “world that works for everyone” through feminine values and empowerment of women leaders. This symposium focused on how to leverage women’s unique leadership competencies and skills, building on cutting-edge human emergence research by Dr. Judith and Robert Wright, founders of the Wright Graduate University for the Realization of Human Potential.
This sold-out event took place at the University Club in downtown Chicago and featured the following speakers:
Christie Hefner, is a widely regarded business leader and strong advocate for women with more than 30 years of executive and board experience in both public and private companies. From 1988-2008, Hefner was Chairman and CEO of Playboy Enterprises, Inc., making her the longest serving female CEO of a U.S. public company. During her tenure, Christie restructured the company, initiating its highly successful electronic and international expansion. She also greatly expanded the leveraging of the Playboy brand via licensing, generating close to $1 billion in annual retail sales, 80% of them in women’s products. Jill Wine-Banks, an internationally renowned attorney and legal analyst who originally made her mark as one of the three Assistant Watergate Special Prosecutors in the obstruction of justice trial against President Nixon’s top aides.
