World Quality Month Celebrated Throughout November as Professionals Seek to Educate and Raise Awareness

Each November, quality professionals around the world organize events and otherwise seek to raise industry awareness. Associations recognizing World Quality Month include Chartered Quality Institute, European Organization for Quality, Japanese Standards Association, ASQ and others.

In the United States alone, recalls continue to increase, with furnishings, fixtures, housewares and appliances contributing to 46% of CPSC recalls since 2010.

Earlier this year, Harvard Business Review summarized a related study indicating, “across all industries studied, perceived quality affects customer advocacy more than any other element. Products and services must attain a certain minimum level.”
