YDreams Global Launches their First Line of Technological Retail Products
VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / September 1, 2016 / YDreams Global. (TSXV: YD) (“YDreams Global” or the “Company”) YDreams Global launches their first line of technological retail products named SKUP. The new portfolio presents innovative solutions for points of purchase such as SmartShelves and TechHanger Technology and can be a great ally to attract clients and personalize the purchasing experience. Always attentive to innovative trends, YDreams Global launched their first line of point of purchase products at the Latam Retail Show 2016, which is the largest fair in Latin America for retail, e-commerce, franchising and shopping centers. Named SKUP, the new portfolio will be presented to the market during the event that took place between August 23 and 25, at the Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo, Brazil’s financial capital.
The key goal of the new tools is to innovate at the point of purchase, increasing the attractiveness of products displayed, offering more information and improving consumer experience. Among the great variety of retail solutions is SmartShelves – a kind of intelligent shelf – one of the highlights of the company’s new portfolio. The technology is able to map the areas of the shelves, and when clients touch or remove a product, they are surprised with multimedia content (video, photo, audio) that maximizes the consumer experience. “The SKUP line reinforces our retail operations arm of the company,” stated Daniel Japiassu, CEO of YDreams Global.
Some of these solutions are already being tested by YDreams’ Global clients. TechHanger, an interactive Clothes Hanger, allows consumers to access to more product information such as recommended accessories or other pieces that combine with the chosen article. The experience takes place when the consumer withdraws the hanger from the rack and approaches the RFID label from the display.
“The products of this new line allow data collection regarding consumer behavior at point of purchase. With this information, retailers are able to learn more about client habits and improve product presentation and information, helping to increase sales,” states Mr. Japiassu.
One of the YDreams Global key roles is to identify the market requirements and develop innovative solutions. Mr. Japiassu explains that consumers are always after the best purchase choices, the product that meets their needs and wishes, as well as convenience, facilities, relevance, adequacy and speed. “New consumers want the real experience amplified by the benefits of technologies they have become used to through the internet, social network and mobile phones. They desire satisfaction in their consuming journey and this can mean buying in one shop instead of the other,” says YDreams Global’s CEO.
Recently, YDreams Global was part of the team that won the Intelligent Community Forum (“ICF”) 2016 visionary of the year award. The award went to Rio de Janeiro’s Knowledge Squares (Nave de Conhecimento) program. ICF is recognizing the program for its novel approach, which makes digital inclusion the centre piece of neighborhood regeneration for some of the city’s most impoverished and excluded citizens. The project was designed and powered by YDreams.
