York UK Field of Dreams Classic Volkswagen Show Guest Host Announced

Founder of Alabama Volkswagen restoration company Airkooled Kustoms Eric “Spook” LeClair has been announced as a guest host at the Field of Dreams Classic Volkswagen show in York, England.

The Field of Dreams Classic Volkswagen show in York, England has announced the founder of Airkooled Kustoms Eric “Spook” LeClair will be this year’s guest host. The event will take place in Escrick Park Estate in York, England from August 31st to September 2nd.

Eric “Spook” LeClair will guest host the event alongside the show founder Kate McCarthy. In addition to being the founder of Airkooled Kustoms, Spook is an award-winning master car builder, designer, painter and has an established international following of vintage Volkswagen enthusiasts.

Throughout the show, he will be hosting tech talks, giving away merchandise and gear from Airkooled Kustoms and signing copies of the shop’s book “Blood, Sweat & Vintage Steel”.

It is the 6th year in a row that Airkooled Kustoms has sponsored this event, and is the first time Spook will be there in person as a guest host. He will be working alongside the show founder Kate McCarthy, an important figure in the UK Volkswagen community.

Airkooled Kustoms is based in Hazel Green, Alabama and the team is excited to participate in this UK-based event. Back home in the United States, the company runs a Volkswagen and Porsche restoration shop with services including vintage VW restorations and ceramic coating.

Models currently on the floor being restored at Airkooled Kustoms include a 1960 Volkswagen Panel Bus, a 1961 VW Double Cab, a 1964 VW Notchback and many more. The shop has experience working with vintage Volkswagens and Porsches and they bring their passion and knowledge to every job.

The company also has a clothing and apparel line called Darkside Gear. The collection includes t-shirts, Dickies button up shirts, hoodies, hats, art, coffee mugs, hood emblems, Velcro patches, towels and baby onesies.
