Zehl & Associates Obtains $23.5 Settlement in Head-On Fatal Wreck

May 06, 2019 – – Ryan Zehl, the managing partner at Zehl & Associates, recently obtained a record $23.5 million settlement against a large HVAC supply company in connection with a head-on collision that tragically killed Christina Burley and seriously injured her husband, James Burley.

On July 20, 2017, while the Burleys were driving south on County Road 2611 in Brazoria County, Texas, a Johnson Supply commercial truck veered left from the northbound lane, crossed the center stripe, and slammed into the Burleys head-on. The collision tragically took Christina’s life and left James with internal organ injuries, fractured and crushed bones, and back and neck injuries.
