Zendure Launches Passport GO on Kickstarter

Novel device allows electric current to run smoothly in more than 200 countries

Palo Alto, CA, United States – May 31, 2019 /FundedToday/

Tired of dragging a pile of multiple chargers, and adapters with you when you travel? Yeah, we are, too. Which is why Zendure today launched a Kickstarter campaign for its Passport GO, a small-but-mighty powerhouse that packs a 4-port USB charger with 30W Power Delivery (PD), a travel adapter with auto-resetting fuse and a power adapter into one sleek unit.

Powered by GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology, this compact all-in-one adapter/charger allows you to charge up to 5 devices together in more than 200 countries and regions. Zendure is partnering with Funded Today to help expand the Passport GO’s market and boost the campaign’s pledges.

A cutting-edge technology, GaN is a semiconductor material that delivers more power, produces less heat and tolerates higher currents than silicon when used in power converters. Passport GO is the first all-in-one travel adapter to use GaN technology.

Passport GO relies on its 30W USB-C PD port to deliver fast charging to your USB-C devices including MacBook, iPad, iPhone, portable chargers, Nintendo Switch, cameras and more.

The 5.6-ounce/159-gram Passport GO is Zendure’s improved version of its original Zendure Passport, the popular charger released in 2017 that had four USB ports and a self-resetting fuse. The Passport raised more than $330,000 from 8,000 backers during its Kickstarter campaign and won a 2017 Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.

Zendure built on its previous success with its latest charger: While the smaller and more powerful than the original Passport, Passport GO retains the original’s built-in fuse that automatically resets itself if it draws too much current. That’s huge for travelers: when a traditional adapter’s single-use fuse shorts out, it has to be replaced – and good luck finding a new one in a foreign country with different electrical output than the ones you’re used to. Passport GO sidesteps the problem entirely, providing consistent charging wherever you go – just slide the appropriate connector up and plug in.

Passport GO is available to order on Kickstarter starting at $29 for the earliest backers, more than 50% off its suggested MSRP of $59. To learn more about Passport GO or back now visit the page here.
