Construction Accident Lawyer Wishes Worker Fast Recovery Following Hospitalization

July 01, 2016 – – LipsigLawyers.com’s Thomas Moverman stated earlier this month that he wishes a construction worker who was recently hospitalized after an accident a speedy and successful recovery.

The 33-year-old man had been working on the campus of Sanford Health near West 22nd Street and South Grange Avenue when he was struck by a beam that broke loose from a crane, said KSFY ABC. The beam came loose when he and another worker had been guiding it into place. Co-workers helped the victim get back to the ground, and he was taken to a hospital. Police say his injuries were not life-threatening, the news source reported.

These incidents happen more frequently than many people realize. Some of the most common construction accidents involve slips, trips and falls, scaffolding accidents, and ladder falls. Injuries resulting from these accidents typically include lacerations, bruising, broken or fractured bones and sometimes spinal or brain injuries. According to the OSHA, more than 20 percent of all work-related fatalities in 2013 were employed in the construction industry and that one in five of the 4,821 reported fatalities in 2014 were also in the construction industry.

Lipsig, Shapey, Manus & Moverman strongly believes in fighting for the compensation victims need and deserve. They have been representing victims of construction accidents for years and in one case, Attorney Thomas Moverman even won a victim $2.6 million for a worker who injured his knee and back in a fall from defective scaffolding. The firm has successfully obtained millions in settlements for those victims and Lipsig, Shapey, Manus & Moverman is currently looking to assist those individuals who have been injured in a construction accident. Certain individuals may be entitled to financial compensation.
