GrowUpSmart Adds Storytelling And Role Play Toys To Its Offering

December 19, 2016 – – London, United Kingdom based educational toy web shop GrowUpSmart has announced the launch of their new line of storytelling and role play toys. These toys are excellent tools to encourage children to engage in role play and to tell stories. Additionally, they can be used both in one-on-one and in group settings.

“These storytelling and role play toys have been designed to benefit educators and parents alike,” says Martin Reinhold from GrowUpSmart. “These types of toys have been shown to be very beneficial in terms of enabling children to develop their imagination, social skills, and communication skills. As with all the toys we sell, they encourage learning through play, which means their main function is for children to enjoy themselves.”

The line of toys now made available in the UK by GrowUpSmart is extensive. It includes the Three Little Pigs story bag; the small bending dolls Sarah and Sam; the Rainbow Mini House; the Playground story bag; Passing the Lake; newborn dolls Lilly and Elias; Farm Animals; the Dining Table story bag; the Big Empathy dolls Nelly, Johan, and Emelie; and the Bath/Toilet story bag. Each of these toys encourages children to direct their play towards a specific topic and skill, in a way that entertains while educating them and encourages them to play with the toys again and again.

Role playing and storytelling toys have been used in various Scandinavian countries for many years. These include Sweden, which is known to have some of the best educational results in the world, despite children not going to formal school until they are seven, and attending school for much shorter hours than what is common in the rest of the developed world. The success of this kind of education is believed to be down to the fact that children learn to develop social and communication skills, before they work on academic skills.

“The results of the Swedish education system are undeniable,” adds Martin Reinholds. “Children are allowed to be children for much longer than what other countries are used to, and this has been shown to be highly beneficial. Thanks to our range of toys, parents and educators alike can replicate those results.”
