Moulton Builders & Remodelers Announces Bathroom Remodeling Services

October 31, 2018 – – John Moulton of Moulton Builders & Remodelers has announced a new suite of home remodeling services including bathroom remodeling. With bathroom remodeling, home owners can enjoy a fresh look for their home or even restore a bathroom that needs some structural and design work. Previously, the company had focused on home building and kitchen remodeling, but they have now expanded their services to include bathrooms as well.

When asked about this addition, John Moulton had this comment, “Initially the company was all about home building, which meant we were building every part of the house. Foundations, walls, bedrooms, kitchens and of course bathrooms. After adding kitchen remodeling for a few years and having success with that addition, adding bathroom remodeling and restoration seemed like a natural transition. If we see success to this, we may consider more additions and deck building.”

A bathroom remodel is often an inevitability for most homeowners. The bathroom tends to see the most wear and tear, especially for bathrooms with a tub or shower. The steam eats into the cracks and crevices and eventually cause the wood and materials beneath to expand. If left for too long, the wood will begin to rot or mold. A bathroom remodel or restoration will allow the old flooring and tiles to be ripped up and the wood beneath them to be repaired and treated before new materials are placed over them.

Though a bathroom remodel has a lot of technical benefits, many homeowners feel it is a great opportunity for a design and appliance update as well. Tony Baxter of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, recently had his bathroom restored after a burst pipe. Moulton Builders & Remodelers have been in business for almost 25 years. Their first venture with remodeling was doing a kitchen remodel for John, the owner. He figured if he was going to offer the service, it needed to be a service he would enjoy and appreciate himself. He hit a few bumps along the way, but after 6 months, he was confident that kitchen remodeling would be a well-appreciated service in the Cape Elizabeth area.

Julie Green was the first client to have her kitchen remodeled by John. She explains her experience here: “John and his family were actually the ones that built the house originally, 24 years ago. The kitchen wasn’t in desperate need of remodeling, I just had simply grown bored of the look and had also fallen in love with the kitchen island concept. It was going to be a lot of work, but John and his team were able to expand my kitchen enough to allow a lovely island in the center that we use as a breakfast nook most days. When asked about the presumably difficult process of a remodel, John explains, “It’s really not that difficult. It is mostly time-consuming for a few different reasons. Planning and design take some time because we want to make sure the client is happy with the concept before ordering the materials and appliances. The second stage, ordering and shipping can take some time as some materials aren’t readily available and larger appliances take longer to ship or deliver. But most importantly, you won’t be losing access to your house or amenities for weeks on end. Once all of the materials and appliances are ready, my team will have the remodel completely done in a matter of days.”
