Real Estate Entrepreneur and Author Robert Feol
Visits Hometown to Give Back to the Community
ROCHESTER, NY, June 28, 2019 -Rochester native Robert Feol knows how important it is to give back, and to remember where you came from — especially when you started with nothing.
In his youth, Feol (pronounced “fe ohl”) cleaned classrooms every day after school in order to pay his tuition at Rochester’s McQuaid Jesuit High School. Today, Foel is a successful real estate entrepreneur, but he never forgot his humble beginnings.
The struggle of making ends meet in his childhood and the impact of McQuaid on his life was so deep that several years ago, Feol established an endowment designed to enable underprivileged and underfunded youth with bright prospects to attend the school. This weekend, June 28-30, Feol will be returning to his alma mater to check in with administration and asses the effectiveness of the endowment.
“Destiny isn’t a chance, it’s a choice,” says Feol, an international speaker, author and radio personality who credits the critical role McQuaid’s comprehensive education has played in shaping his own path to success.
Feol was founder of “Pieces of the Puzzle: Journeys in Creative Real Estate Investing,” and hosted the #1 weekend talk radio show based in Memphis, TN for almost 10 years. (“Pieces of the Puzzle: Journeys in Creative Real Estate Investing” is now available in podcast edition.) Feol also has a new book on real estate investing, to be published this summer by New Shelves Books of Rochester. ‘The Short-Term Retirement Program’ chronicles Feol’s adventures in real estate investing which are expansive – he has bought, sold or consulted on over 2000 real estate transactions globally.
Feol embodies and is the personification of a true modern renaissance man. In addition to his passion for real estate and his radio program, he graduated as a triple major from Syracuse University, holds a Master’s Degree in Deaf education from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, and has five black belts in various martial arts systems. An accomplished Junior Olympic volleyball coach, Feol coached at the national championship in 2017. He is trilingual and is pursuing a graduate degree in music at the University of Memphis. A former tenured educator in the Memphis City School district, he is a published choral composer and arranger. Feol is also a highly skilled BBQ pit master, who’s professional cooking team Uncle Feol’s Tennessee Style BBQ recently won 1st place in ribs out of 50 teams in the 2019 Desoto Shriner’s BBQ Contest in Nesbit, Mississippi receiving a perfect 180 score from the Kansas City BBQ Society – an extremely rare accomplishment in the competition BBQ world.
While Feol has achieved great success in life, he hasn’t forgotten how it all started and what it’s like to start with nothing. That’s why he’s coming back to Rochester and McQuaid on the weekend of June 28.
