Palm Desert, CA – Oct. 28, 2019 – Palm Desert entrepreneur and anti-aging skin care expert, Karen Johnson is honored to be nominated as the California delegate to compete in the Premier Classic International Woman Pageant to be hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 10th, 2019. Johnson was nominated because she exemplifies the pageants core principles of empowering women of all ages and cultures and helping women embrace possibilities.

The Premiere Classic International Woman 2019 is open to women 45 and up, and true to pageantry will have wardrobe competitions to include Resort Wear, Country Costume, and Evening Gown presentations; however the majority of the contestant’s scores are derived through interviews from the Judges’ Panel. Women from the United States, India, South Africa and the UK are scheduled to compete for this crown and title. The Classic International Woman pageant focuses on “accepting life’s experiences, embracing its possibilities, and using one’s story to empower others.”

Although this is Johnson’s first pageant, she enters the P.C.I.W. competition with an extensive background of leading and empowering women. Johnson represents a science-based company offering clinically proven, genetic anti-aging and medical device technologies. She leads an international team of primarily female entrepreneurs. In addition, Johnson invests her personal time and finances in the philanthropic passions closest to her heart.

Friend and local Palm Dessert business owner Michelle Hutchinson shared, “Our community is thrilled to see Karen represent our state and our city through this international pageant. I’ve seen Karen empower multitudes of women through her social online business and am impressed with her commitment to her favorite organizations.”

Johnson passionately promotes the Nourish the Children (NTC) initiative, based in Provo, Utah. Johnson shared, “As an Ambassador for NTC I’m proud to share the foundation has fed over 600 million meals to starving children around the world. In addition, we are credited with ending childhood death from malnutrition in Malawi, Africa and are committed to taking that success global.”

Johnson is also a proud supporter of Hoofbeats to Healing, founded by friends Tami and Rick Clegg. Located in Saratoga Springs, Utah the organization is dedicated to providing therapeutic horse back riding, for individuals with special needs. Johnson shared, “Our protocol is based on the unique gait and temperament of the Andalusian horse which has shown improvements for those with neurological and emotional challenges where other therapies have fallen short. These horses are truly magical and they sense the needs of our riders challenged with autism, cerebral palsy, PTSD, brain injuries, or other neurological disorders. Working with our returning veterans as well as our children and adults gives deep purpose to my life.” Johnson is currently contributing 100% of her personal business profits from sales in the month of October to this and other organizations.

Johnson shared, “I am excited to be competing for this title, but even more excited at the possibilities this platform might open up for me to continue to empower women globally.” She continued, “I really believe women should be able to have it all, keeping family first and having a business to support their dreams. I have big goals for the coming year, both personally and professionally, and believe that this crown will aid in helping me accomplish those goals. I was compelled to accept the invitation to compete because the competition focuses more on our accomplishments and contributions than just our appearances. The pageant will challenge us to define how we are utilizing our current positions to impact the lives of others and should we win, how we will utilize this platform to expand those pursuits. The pageant just seems to fall in line with what motivates me most and I am thrilled at the opportunity to compete.”

The PCIW pageant is scheduled for November 10, 2019 at the Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tickets are available by phone at 602-799-3801.

Local sponsors for Johnson include Tom Pulice owner of Las Vegas Aesthetics, Kayla Ward, owner of SpaSeo Salon and Skin Care Clinic as well as Michelle and Casey Hutchinson, owners of JC’s Cafe on El Paseo. JC’s Cafe will host a private Happy Hour send off party on Monday, November 4th from 5pm to 7pm. Contact Johnson directly for reservations.

Johnson finished, “it is yet another honor in my life to represent not only California, but as importantly Palm Desert and our beautiful valley. We have it all here and I’ll do my very best to bring that crown back to our little paradise.”
