The Yari has just launched on Kickstarter. They have brought on Funded Today to help bring their product to a wider audience and increase pledges for the duration of the campaign.

About The Yari

The Yari is a Japanese-made, Japanese-style fishing rod. Unlike its western contemporaries, there is no reel involved in the rod. Instead, the fisherman relies entirely on the length of the rod and the attached line for their successful catch. This style is known as Tenkara.

Despite its lack of a reel, the rod reaches a fully extended length of approximately 11 1/2 feet, or 360 centimeters, up from 53 centimeters in collapsed state. The carbon fiber and fiberglass used in the manufacturing of the rod allow for great durability and a high-quality fishing experience for many years.

Pricing and Availability

The Yari is available to back now on Kickstarter. They are hopeful to see an increase in pledges with the help of Funded Today and their team. Once the campaign ends, the products are set to produce and ship to all backers by June 2021. The starting price for one Yari is $275 USD.
