Colorado Business Owner Shares Uncommon Advice For Anyone Considering Quiet-Quitting or Resigning From Their Job

Montrose, CO, USA – October 26, 2022

The workforce in America has undergone some shifts. In the wake of COVID-19 and the effects it had on economies worldwide, numerous pressures were applied to both workers and the employers running their businesses. These shifts caused workers to branch out, move, and seek new opportunities for employment where they were rewarded more for their hard work. Many others resigned to “quiet-quitting” better described as the practice of turning down work productivity to a bare minimum, seldom putting forward any extra effort without other stimulation.

However, instead of quitting, quiet or otherwise, just to fill another company’s position may not be the best plan according to Colorado business owner Joshua Faye, who recently decided to take a different route.

Facing 5 hour California commute times, an unstable living situation, and worse, a lack of fulfillment at work, Josh’s attitude towards his employment changed. Being a 2nd generation hardwood flooring expert, not working for himself felt like a waste of effort and time. Thus, instead of seeking a job working for another business in Oregon or California, Josh took a leap, and started his own company in Colorado. Mountain Home Hardwood Floors is now open for business, and the owner is not looking back. Looking at the results of his change, Josh has some advice for anyone in a similar position.

In an interview about his new company with Montrose Virtual Chamber of Commerce, Josh was quoted “Get your eyes set on something, and just stick with it. Anything is possible so long as you take the opportunities that present themselves.” Mr. Faye says he’s proof that you can set out for yourself and be better for it. His business Mountain Home Hardwood Floors is celebrating an electrifying first year in business, the acquisition of state of the art flooring tools, and even a new van wrapped with his company name.

“Not all great works of art are found on walls.” was what he left the interview with. “Decide whether to make or find your own beauty and success, then just get out there and do it.”

If you live in Western Colorado and need new hardwood floors, or have hardwood flooring in need of repair, Mountain Home Hardwood Floors is more than happy to take your call.
