GED Test stands for General Education Development Test – an exam to get a certificate equivalent to a high school diploma in the US. Candidates can actively choose English or Spanish when taking the GED test. Each subject test has a scale of 100 to 200. Candidates need to score at least 145 for each subject and at least 580 to pass the GED test.

Candidates 18 years of age or older can self-register. 17-year-olds need a Letter of Consent signed by a parent or guardian. GED certification is necessary. Owners can use the GED as an alternative to a diploma to apply to US colleges/universities/private schools, the US Army, or other job positions.
