National Development Agency Empowers Local Business Owners With Tools For Life skills

The National Development Agency (NDA), concerned by the future of South African youth decided to undertake a transformative workshop delivered by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers in order to assist communities move from welfare to sustainable livelihood.

Recently, the National Development Agency (NDA), concerned by the future of South African youth, decided to undertake a transformative workshop delivered by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers in order to assist communities move from welfare to sustainable livelihood. 

The NDA, which is the community and economic development arm of the National Department of Social Development, has a mandate to offer training and funding to small businesses, farms, non-profits and various other organizations in the community. However, they have been struggling to find such organizations and when found, most collapse within a year. 

Deeply concerned by this rapid failure of businesses started in the local communities, Lemisa Labane, a long-standing executive in the NDA responsible for the West Rand District in the far west of the Gauteng province, brought together his colleagues and collaborated with the Scientology Volunteer Ministers to start working together to empower the organizations under his charge. 

The first workshop of this kind to empower businesses with effective skills before funding them was attended with great results and the beneficiaries benefitted greatly from the training seminar.

One of the attendees immediately expressed his happiness for the life changing workshop and said, “I loved this training! In just this very short space of time. I have already learned a lot of valuable information. Seeing that there are a total of 19 courses on this programme makes me really excited.”

All of the attendees unanimously agreed that this training practical was priceless and valuable for their work. Extremely eager to improve their lives and tackle conditions they face, they dedicated their time to attend this free but impactful Skills Development program offered by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers. They were dedicated to empowering themselves with the Tools for Life developed by L. Ron Hubbard so they can better assist and improve their communities.

Mr. Solomon Setlhodi, the training director for the NDA responsible for the West Rand District as well as the City of Johannesburg was also in attendance. According to him “This is only the beginning”. 

The NDA and the Scientology Volunteer Ministers plan to train more on these that have proven to be effective when it comes to bringing real empowerment.
