Will Quaye Wins Scalp Artist Of The Year At The 2023 UK PMU Festival Awards

The pro-sponsored scalp micropigmentation artist became the first ever champion.

Essex – August 15, 2023

Scalp Nation director and lead SMP practitioner Will Quaye has proudly been named Scalp Artist of the Year 2023 at the inaugural UK PMU Festival Awards held in Canterbury.

Will Wins Another Award

Held over the weekend of 5th-6th August, the 2023 UK PMU Festival Awards saw some of the country’s leading permanent makeup artists gather for a celebration of the incredible progress made by the industry over the past 12 months and pay recognition to the individuals who have truly excelled in their specific fields.

Scalp Nation’s Will Quaye topped the shortlist of elite scalp micropigmentation artists to scoop the award, which was sponsored by Killer Beauty, and lift the event’s first ever Scalp Artist Of The Year trophy.

Entrants were asked to send before and after photos of their work across multiple disciplines in the field of scalp micropigmentation. Will Quaye impressed judge Sean Niven of Peaky Hairlines, as well as the event organisers, by showing his excellence in all aspects of scalp micropigmentation.

This includes dedicated SMP services for men, women, clients with alopecia, clients with long hair, hair transplant patients, and people with scarring as well as SMP removal. Will Quaye’s high-quality work and attention to detail were enough to see him stand out ahead of the competition to be named the nation’s #1 expert.

Victory at the event underlines Will Quaye’s status as one of the country’s leading scalp micropigmentation specialists and follows the success of being named Scalp Artist of the Year at the 2022 UK PMU Conference.

The scalp micropigmentation artist, who is professionally sponsored by Bishop SMP, said: “Wow! We have only gone and done it again! I am so proud to be Scalp Artist of the Year 2023 at the PMU Festival.

“I am absolutely over the moon and would like to thank Jessica Abbott and her team for putting on the first PMU festival in the UK. I am sure from year to year the festival will go from strength to strength and look forward to returning next year.”
