KIS International School Reignwood Park announces opening date, August 2024

The sister school of KIS International School Bangkok will offer state-of-the-art facilities, full-boarding, and international baccalaureate accreditation

KIS International School Bangkok has announced that its second campus at Reignwood Park will open its doors to students in August 2024. The new school offers a world-class 60-acre (150-rai) campus with state-of-the-art facilities. 

Barry Sutherland said in a communication with families that he was honored to become the school’s new Founding Head of School. “We are embarking on a great adventure to offer an unparalleled educational experience for day and boarding students on a world-class campus to the north of central Bangkok.”

KIS International School Reignwood Park will build upon the 25-year reputation of its sister school for academic excellence. Upon opening, it will be the only full IB day and boarding school in Bangkok, allowing students to remain on campus while pursuing internationally recognized qualifications. Full, weekly, and part boarding is available for students aged nine to eighteen. 

“Our students will benefit from the wealth of knowledge and expertise from KIS Bangkok combined with the unique learning environment of our new world-class 60-acre Reignwood Park campus,” Sutherland confirms. “We are fortunate to have fantastic state-of-the-art facilities for a range of sports and the arts.”

Specifically, the new campus will offer twenty-five and fifty-meter Olympic standard swimming pools, FIFA standard floodlit football pitches, fully equipped gymnastics hall, indoor and outdoor golf, a fully equipped fitness center, and more. Students will enjoy a healthy and safe environment to build their bodies and minds. 

“Our experienced team is thrilled to be a part of building an international school that will be accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and authorized in all four International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes,” Sutherland says. 

Despite the school’s opening date being over a year away, the founders have already recruited a leadership team and established systems that support the well-being of students, teachers, and members of the community. Experienced IB educators will be ready to teach students when the doors open, with senior leadership recruiting teachers from international teaching fairs in Singapore, London, Melbourne, Bangkok, and Dubai. 

Once complete, the school will offer various programs, depending on students’ age. The Primary Years Programme will run to Grade 5, the Middle Years Programme from Grades 6 to 10, the Diploma Programme from Grades 11 to 12, and the Career-related programme from Grades 11 to 12.
