Scottsdale, Arizona, United States – October 23, 2023

Leopard Aviation, a leading flight school and aviation training center, is thrilled to announce the significant expansion of its aircraft fleet. The company is acquiring 10 brand-new Cessna 172S models, bringing their total fleet size to 17 aircraft. This expansion ensures that students can continue to earn their pilot license on their own schedule, making more planes available for the growing demand at Leopard Aviation.

The acquisition marks a substantial commitment to enhancing the training and safety of aspiring pilots and continuing the legacy of excellence that Leopard Aviation is known for. The 10 new Cessna 172S models come equipped with state-of-the-art technology and safety features, underlining Leopard Aviation’s unwavering commitment to safety.

Key details of the fleet expansion include:

Garmin Traffic Awareness System (TAS): Safety remains a top priority at Leopard Aviation, and the inclusion of the Garmin Traffic Awareness System will help pilots avoid potential collisions and stay aware of other aircraft in their vicinity.

Garmin Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS): The Garmin Terrain Awareness Warning System is another vital safety feature that will assist pilots in avoiding terrain-related hazards, further enhancing the overall safety of the flight training experience.

These upgrades serve as a testament to Leopard Aviation’s commitment to providing its students with the latest, safest, and most advanced training aircraft available.

The aircraft will be flown in formation by Leopard Aviation instructors, with 3 to 4 aircraft departing at a time from the Textron/Cessna manufacturing plant in Independence, Kansas, and returning to Leopard Aviation’s locations at Mesa/Falcon and Scottsdale Airports.

Leopard Aviation is excited to welcome these new additions to its fleet and is dedicated to ensuring that each student has access to the best possible training resources. The new aircraft are expected to arrive as early as November 16th.

The opportunity to start a career that is more lucrative than a 4-year college degree in a fraction of the time is very appealing for those that have the stomach for it. The average commercial pilot certificate and hours can be earned in just over one year with a starting salary potential of $92,000 is quite the proposition when colleges are charging 75K a year for tuition. Flight School can cost as little at 55K for the tenure necessary to earn your commercial pilot certificate. In addition, once you earn your CFI certificate, you can continue to earn hours for your log book while also earning money from your flight school. Financing is available – Leopard Aviation has partnered with meritize to offer funding for your education; repayment is not due until you are gainfully employed as a commercial airline pilot.
