Nevertheless, setbacks became part of his journey. A regrettable altercation between a college professor and an NYPD officer resulted in legal consequences, leading to a significant turning point in his life.

Emerging from this setback, HAWAII MK channeled his resilience into building his empire. In 2006, he founded Buried Evidence Inc., a record label that became the launchpad for his music career. Despite initial setbacks with a Sony recording deal that didn’t materialize into an album release, he persisted and released his debut studio album, “Blood Pressure,” in 2013. This album garnered critical acclaim and established his versatility and presence in the music industry.

Subsequent releases, including “Blood Sweat & Tears” (2014), “Die Hard” (2015), and a dual release in 2017 with “Mercy & Blessings” and “Lights Out,” further cemented his status as a prominent figure in music. His later albums, “Platinum” (2019) and “Numb 2 Death” (2020), propelled him to commercial success, achieving global recognition and radio airplay.

Beyond music, HAWAII MK is a notable entrepreneur. He diversified his portfolio with clothing retail businesses like Bwear, Belgium, Eskimo, and Archangel. Additionally, he ventured into the alcohol industry with his brands of spirits, namely “Qvon,” consisting of vodka, brandy, and gin, and his line of champagne and wine spirits called “Lion.”

Amidst his professional triumphs, HAWAII MK faced personal tragedies, losing family members and friends to gun violence. These experiences shaped his resilience and commitment to achieving success for himself and in honor of those he has lost.
