Named after the Sanskrit word for ‘soul,’ Janu was introduced in 2020 as a brand focused on fostering social connections, balance, and human interaction. Janu Tokyo offers 122 rooms and suites within a striking building by Pelli Clarke & Partners, featuring interior designs by Jean Michel Gathy of Denniston.

Situated in the unique Azabudai Hills, part of a 30-year urban regeneration project by Mori Building Co, Janu Tokyo is the sole hotel in this mixed-use development. Envisioned by Heatherwick Studios, Azabudai Hills is a self-contained, nature-rich ‘city within a city,’ boasting Japan’s tallest skyscraper, extensive green spaces by Thomas Heatherwick, and over 150 high-end retail and dining options, including a Japanese food market.
