Director Kelly Butts-Spirito pays homage to his hometown by bringing Lil Uzi Vert and Bktherula to Vermont for his annual ‘Love, Kelly’ concert.

A Historical Concert in Burlington Vermont 

Last August, Vermont witnessed an unprecedented hip hop event hosted by music video director Kelly Butts-Spirito. 

(August 18), a video of Lil Uzi out at the Love, Kelly End of Summer Jam in Burlington Vermont surfaced online. The show orchestrated by director/designer Kelly Butss-Spirito was headlined by Bktherula, North Ave Jax and Landon Cube. It was a shock to see the “Just Wanna Rock” hitmaker in a far removed state like Vermont supporting from the side wing of the show.

The post captioned “Ily @bktherula but why @liluzivert n @bobbialthoff here [right now]?” The video zooms in and shows Lil Uzi Vert backstage with director Kelly Butts-Spirito and his team watching Bktherula’s set. 

Kelly Butts-Spirito is known for innovative videos for major artists so the visit from Lil Uzi was not completely unexpected. Kelly is known for his popular music videos, streetwear clothing line and for organizing some of the biggest parties in New York. 

The ‘Love, Kelly End of Summer Jam’ did more than just entertain; it energized the local community and local businesses, drawing attention to Burlington’s growing cultural scene. Local businesses experienced a surge in activity, with young people from all over the country flying into Vermont for the weekend to witness the event.
