Motivating Parents to Explore the World with Little Ones: Introducing Mona Hovaizi and Little Feet Big Journey

With Little Feet Big Journey, Mona Hovaizi is on a mission to remove obstacles that keep parents from traveling with their young kids.

Los Angeles, CA, California, United States – June 11, 2024

Parenthood is often seen as the end of freedom and exploration. But 35-year-old mother Mona Hovaizi rejects that idea. With her upcoming startup, Little Feet Big Journey, Mona is a living example that early parenthood and travel go hand in hand.

Since becoming a couple, Mona Hovaizi and her husband have visited 65 countries together. Even more impressive is that, in the 22 months since his birth, their son has joined them in 22 of those countries. And while he might be hitting all the typical developmental milestones like walking and talking, the locations of his first steps (on the Caribbean sand) and first word (Canary Islands) are anything but ordinary.

“I was full of nerves before taking our son abroad for the first time.” Mona recounts. “He was only 3 months old, and I had all the typical concerns. Where would he nap? Would the time change wreak havoc on our schedule? Would everyone on the plane hate us if he cries? Through research, I realized there was a solution for every worry.

Almost immediately, Mona Hovaizi realized her life was far from over, but rather, a whole new chapter was starting. She began the Little Feet Big Journey Instagram account to give other parents that same mindset shift and confidence to leave their comfort zones. On her page, she chronicles her own family’s adventures while offering travel tips tailored specifically for parents with little ones. From packing essentials to navigating airport security with ease, Mona’s insights are a lifeline for parents seeking reassurance and guidance.

But Mona Hovaizi’s vision doesn’t stop there. In approximately two months, she will unveil the Little Feet Big Journey website, a blog full of resources catering to travel-loving parents. Visitors can expect an even deeper dive into topics like how to make travel accessible using credit card points, making any destination kid friendly, and strategies for keeping little ones entertained on long journeys.

Just going to the grocery store can be daunting for parents of young children,” Mona says. “Our website will offer help and encouragement no matter how far you and your kids are going.”

While Mona Hovaizi is keeping the details under wraps for now, she hints at an upcoming product launch aligned with her mission to support traveling parents.

While traveling with small kids IS possible, it isn’t without challenges,” Mona emphasizes. “The upcoming product addresses one of the biggest struggles parents face when leaving home with their kids. It’s something I found myself wishing for again and again.

Seeing the dazzling travel content from Little Feet Big Journey, the casual viewer might assume that Mona Hovaizi’s lifestyle isn’t relatable or even attainable. That’s another myth she seeks to debunk. As a full-time dentist, Mona is intimately familiar with juggling work and life, saving and spending.

I’m fortunate to work in dental offices that support my love for travel and allow me to create my own schedule. But above all, I believe in the power of the mind. If you believe something is possible, you’ll find a way to make it happen.”

Looking ahead, Mona Hovaizi’s goals are clear: to lead by example and show her followers that travel with young children is not only possible but enriching. With upcoming trips to Canada and Mo’orea in French Polynesia, she is determined to demonstrate that adventure knows no age limit.

I want to be a reminder that you don’t stop being a human once you become a parent. I think sometimes we forget that kids are easily adaptable and instead lose ourselves in trying to adapt to having kids.”

As Mona Hovaizi prepares to launch Little Feet Big Journey and embark on her next adventure, she invites parents everywhere to drop the narrative that parenting small kids is confining and limiting and shows them how to make it fun and stimulating for every member of the family.
