Celebrating the Power of Community: Scientology Volunteer Ministers Graduate and Continue to Make a Difference

In a grand ceremony held at Castle Kyalami recently, over 400 guests and attendees gathered to celebrate a major milestone: the graduation of a new cohort of Scientology Volunteer Ministers (VMs).

In a grand ceremony held at Castle Kyalami recently, over 400 guests and attendees gathered to celebrate a major milestone: the graduation of a new cohort of Scientology Volunteer Ministers (VMs). This dedicated group of individuals has completed rigorous training in the Scientology Tools for Life and is now poised to bring positive change to their communities.

The event was a testament to the transformative power of the Scientology Tools for Life. Graduate after graduate took the stage to receive their accolades and many shared their personal stories of struggle and triumph, recounting how the program had helped them overcome personal challenges and find new purpose in life.

One graduate, a former professional boxer and bishop, spoke movingly about how the Tools for Life had helped him rebuild his life and find a new sense of direction. “I was lost and struggling to find my way,” he said. “But the Scientology Tools for Life gave me the skills and confidence to turn my life around. Now, I’m dedicated to helping others do the same.”

Another graduate, a young woman who had faced severe personal struggles, shared how the program had helped her find her voice and become a leader in her community. She said “The Tools for Life gave me the courage to speak out and make a difference,” she said. “Now, I’m working with youth in my community to help them find their own path to success.”

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers program from L. Ron Hubbard, is dedicated to providing practical solutions to improve lives and communities. With their new skills and knowledge, these graduates are now spreading positivity and bringing solutions to some of the toughest challenges facing South Africa today.

From training thousands of youth on the Scientology Tools for Life to disaster response training with local fire stations, from community cleanup and beautification projects to improving literacy and education standards through Word Clearing programs, these VMs are making a real difference in their communities.

A graduate who runs a foundation with national reach, introduced over 300 youth to the Scientology Tools for Life in a 2-day period to assist them in overcoming daily challenges. He has trained many hundreds of youth on the Tools for Life, since, helping them build their careers, and find their way in life with practical solutions, insisting that the Tools for Life training is the most instrumental step of the process.

Another group in the south of Joburg, with their reputation for responding to disasters and building the community, attended a second week of disaster response training at their local Fire Station, exchanging by training all the staff on the Scientology Tools for Life.

Meanwhile, many others across South Africa visited households in their communities to assist in whatever is needed. Others orchestrated large community cleanup and beautification projects as well as delivered support at educational centers to increase literacy and education standards, all this just last week alone. 

“The graduation ceremony was a celebration not just of individual achievement but also of the collective power of a community coming together to make a difference. As the new VMs embark on their journey to spread positivity and solutions, they carry with them the support and encouragement of their peers and the Scientology community, “said Sandile Hlayisi, Chairperson of the organization.

“The Scientology Volunteer Ministers program is a shining example of the power of community and the impact that dedicated individuals can have. As these new VMs go out into their communities, they will be a force for good, bringing hope and help to those who need it most,” he concluded.
