Beginning as a ripple in the mind of mining engineer, Aaron Trevis, the innovative technology behind Surf Lakes was developed through a series of inspired prototypes to create the most exciting wave park technology in the world. 

Along the way, Surf Lakes enlisted experienced surfers to spread the word and advise on wave designs. The ocean-like wave quality grabbed the attention of surfing celebrities who raved about their experiences at the R&D facility in Yeppoon, Queensland.
