Internet Expert Helps Struggling Teens and Aspiring Coaches Find Financial Independence Through Online Courses

Leaving corporate America was a golden opportunity for one technology entrepreneur to help others with marketing service-based businesses, and with raising extra-difficult teenagers.

NEW YORK CITY – October 26, 2015 /MarketersMedia/

Twenty-two percent of American workers who were laid off in the last five years, have remained unemployed, according to a survey done by the Heldrich Center. Major corporations, such as Wal-Mart and Twitter are letting go large percentages of their employees. Scott Shane Holt, a former IT executive, suffered through three rounds of reorganizations before he was laid-off, but this was his beginning.

“Luckily, I was prepared for life outside of Corporate America,” Shane said. “I was ready to pursue a path with a more personal meaning.”

Shane created an online course, Raising Independent Kids, to provide training and resources for parents that struggle with their teenager’s behavior. Using a five-step process, teenagers become independent, do better in school, and create a track record of success.

“Having my own difficult child, it was something I was all too familiar with,” says Shane. “I had been helping other families informally for over a year, when I realized that I could reach out to far more people.”

During the recession of 2008, Shane learned how to create online courses. Many people in his community suddenly found themselves without jobs, leaving Shane with the desire to help. He helped job seekers rapidly find positions, often with higher salaries, a real accomplishment in a recession.

While helping teens become independent and prepared for college and careers is his real passion, he also helps new passion-driven coaches and consultants find financial freedom through GetYourFirstTenClients.com which provides technical services for their online business, including websites and Facebook Ad Marketing.

“Some people see a lay-off as a setback. I chose to see it as an opportunity to use everything I’ve learned in my life to help other people while making a substantial living doing it,” Shane says. “Internet marketing allows former day-job employees to serve the world doing what they love while generating more money, time, and freedom than they had as employees.”
