Ooble Stores’ Christmas Stockings For Kids Feature America’s Strangest Reindeer
November 27, 2015 – – UK-based Ooble Stores, which has a Houston, TX office, has recently launched their Christmas stockings. They come in sets of three, each with a different design that ties in to the Christmas season and the stockings can be ordered through http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0155OSF84. Interestingly, however, these stockings have caused quite a stir, particularly the stocking with the image of a reindeer on it because of its strange features.
Eva Torvenyiova from Ooble Stores says: “We wanted to create a product that really incorporates the spirit of Christmas for kids. So, we decided on a Santa Claus, a snowman and a reindeer. However, something went a bit wrong with the image of the reindeer and some people have pointed out that it actually looks like a teddy bear with antlers.”
The stockings have been made using a felt material, which makes them incredibly strong and, most importantly, gives them a look of being handcrafted. They come in the traditional Christmas colors of red, green, black and white, and each has a unique design on them.
While it is very clear to see that the snowman is a snowman and that Santa Claus is indeed Santa Claus, the reindeer image is a bit questionable to say the least. With a round head and body, and a white snout, he does look much more like a teddy bear than a reindeer. He doesn’t have the traditional red nose associated with Rudolph, yet, he does have antlers. This has made a lot of people send in funny messages about the design.
“My daughter saw the stockings and immediately wondered since when had bears become part of Christmas,” says one customer. “However, she then spotted the antlers and decided that it was Rudolph in a clever disguise. As a result, she immediately made the ‘Rudolph-bear’ stocking her own and convinced us to have a fancy dress Christmas. This is the most fun we have had with Christmas decorations ever.”
Ooble Stores has not confirmed or denied whether their bear-reindeer design was accidental or intentional. They seem to want to keep the magic of Christmas magical for a little while longer. However, this is undeniably America’s strangest reindeer.
