Action Air Conditioning, Heating and Solar Fundraises for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Action Air Conditioning, Heating and Solar holds fundraising events to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October 2021.

Every October, Action Air Conditioning, Heating and Solar collects donations through Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Making Strides is an annual American Cancer Society campaign for breast cancer prevention and medical treatment for women across the country. The campaign also aims to uplift, educate and provide resources for people affected by breast cancer.
Action kicks off 2021’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month fundraising with The Rush Coffee truck on-site on Action’s headquarters in San Marcos. A percentage of retail proceeds go directly to the company’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer donation funds. North County San Diego hotspot Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream is partnering with Action to host a fundraising night on Oct. 13th. For Thursday Night Football, Action invites members to contribute funds by purchasing food and drinks at My Yard Live in San Marcos. Finally, Action employees participate in the San Diego Making Strides Walk in Balboa Park on Sunday, October 17th. Action Air Conditioning, Heating and Solar raised over $6,500 for Making Strides in 2020, and is eager to exceed that amount this year.
Following a yearly tradition, Action created custom-designed shirts for 2021’s Breast Cancer Awareness shirts for employees, friends and family with all proceeds going to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Every donation helps supply mammograms, resources, and treatment for women in underserved communities. Elizabeth Jett, M.D., OU Breast Institute Director of Breast Imaging said:
“Many women are truly unable to afford mammography services. (National Breast Cancer Foundation) NBCF funding allows us to reach vulnerable women who are falling through the cracks. Whether this leads to a cancer diagnosis that can now be successfully treated or provides peace of mind that there is no evidence of cancer, we have changed somebody’s life for the better.”
