Baton Rouge Dentist Offers Dental Membership Program
September 26, 2018 – – Tiger Smile Family Dentistry, based in Baton Rouge, LA, has announced that they are offering a dental membership program. This is an annual plan where the member will receive various dental services. It is a 12-month plan and a five percent discount is offered for the initial plan fees when a whole family is enrolled in the plan.
A spokesperson for the dental office says, “Tiger Smile Family Dentistry is 14 minutes away from Louisiana State Capitol and 15 minutes from away Blue Bayou Water Park. You can see that we are conveniently located and we are always ready to serve your needs. And as a way to help in ensuring that people are getting the dental services that they need, we have launched our dental membership plan. Better yet, enroll the whole family in the plan to ensure that you won’t have dental problems the whole year round.”
The dental membership program includes two dental cleaning or periodontal maintenance services, unlimited oral exams, oral cancer screening, and intraoral camera exam. It also provides a 20 percent reduction in the fees for additional dental cleanings, periodontal disease care, all implant procedures, braces or orthodontics services, cosmetic procedures, and all general dentistry procedures. However, Tiger Smile Family Dentistry clarified that this is not a dental insurance plan and it is non-transferable. Furthermore, it cannot be combined with any other dental insurance coverage.
Tiger Smile Family Dentistry provides various kinds of dental services for the Baton Rouge area. These include cosmetic dentistry, children dentistry, orthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, preventive dental care, and oral surgery.
Cosmetic dentistry services at Tiger Smile Family Dentistry include veneers, teeth whitening, crowns, dental implants, and partial and complete dentures. Orthodontics services include temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder treatment and dental braces. Periodontics services include gum recession treatment and periodontal disease treatment. Endodontics services have to do with root canal. Preventive dental care has to do with dental fillings.
Tiger Smile Family Dentistry also provides dental services for children. The spokesperson points out that children can start seeing a dentist six months after their first tooth has erupted, and that preventative care should be provided not later than the age of seven.
The spokesperson adds that there are certain red flags that parents should be on the look out for in babies and children. These include the nursing bottle syndrome, thumb-sucking and tongue thrusting, decayed or missing baby teeth, and sleep disordered breathing. The spokesperson explains that the nursing bottle syndrome is not due to the amount of sugar in the drink but rather, it is directly related to the length of time in which the teeth have been exposed to sugar.
Meanwhile, decayed or missing baby teeth can result into misaligned or crooked permanent teeth, which may lead to various oral problems such as malocclusions. The Tiger Smile Family Dentistry suggests that parents schedule an appointment with a dentist as soon as possible if they notice any missing or decayed teeth in their baby.
The pediatric dentists at Tiger Smile Family Dentistry also want to point out that the usual habit of babies of tongue thrusting and thumb-sucking can lead to tooth decay. Parents who notice this behavior in their babies may want to consult with a pediatric dentist on the best possible solution to prevent such behavior.
Tiger Smile Family Dentistry provides a number of services and dental procedures for infants, kids and teenagers. These include dental injury repair; cavity repair; early assessment and treatment for bite correction and teeth straightening; fillings; extractions; oral condition diagnosis associated with a number of diseases; management of gum disease and conditions; preventive dental care such as nutrition, cleaning, fluoride treatments and diet recommendations; oral health exams for infants; sealants to prevent the pits and grooves in the teeth that trap bacteria and create cavities; baby root canals for teeth with deep decay; stainless steel crowns to protect teeth with large areas of pulpotomies or decay; and space maintainers to preserve space for a permanent tooth when a baby tooth has been lost early.
Dr. Cecilia Luong serves as a general dentist at Tiger Smile Family Dentistry. She is a native of New Orleans but she moved to Baton Rouge during the summer of 2013. She obtained her BS degree in Biology from Xavier University and her DDS from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Also joining her soon are Dr. Michael Montalbano Jr. as general dentist; Michael Trans as business manager; Katie Trans as dental assistant; Angie Kennedy as office manager; Lois Crow as hygiene coordinator; and Allison Rieken as dental hygienist.
