After her daughter returned from a disappointing college tour, Janice Caine, founder of Custom College Visits, began discussing the idea of a personalized, concierge-like service to customize multi-campus college road trips specifically for parents and teens traveling together. The need for this unique service became more evident when Caine had a chance discussion with a friend, who was planning college visits on the East Coast. “I wish I had someone to plan these college visits and tours for me,” Caine’s friend said. After hearing her friend’s remarks, Caine immediately started to put the business plan into action.
