Dating app Ysos, popular among Brazilians, has made its way to the United States.
With over 1.5 million users, Ysos is available on iOS and Android; the first registrations will have lifelong free access to the Gold plan.
Campinas, State of Sao Paulo, Brazil – January 4, 2024 —
Ysos, the Brazilian dating app, made its debut in the United States this December and is available now coast to coast. To get started, simply download it from the AppStore or PlayStore. To celebrate the launch, the first group of customers will receive lifelong access to the Gold plan.
The app first appeared in Brazil in 2018 and has gained popularity among couples and single people who are in open or non-monogamous relationships. Presently, there are more than 1.5 million registrations and it is distinguished for being a safe and open environment for sharing experiences, viewing and displaying photos, and engaging conversations.
Gustavo Ferreira, the app’s marketing head, explains that one of the platform’s main features is the private gallery where photos are displayed only for those permitted by the profile owner. Additionally, users can create search filters to refine the selection process even more. As a result, only those who genuinely share some form of affinity can access photos.
The use of internet or third-party photos is not permitted in both public and private galleries, and there is a moderation to ensure compliance. “The idea is to use personal photos that don’t easily identify the user at first. This way, people maintain discretion and gradually reveal themselves to those with whom a connection is established. Ysos aims to help customers get to know those nearby who share similar interests and want to have fun!” he says.
Growth and Expansion
About to reach its five-year mark, Ysos consistently records gradual growth annually. In 2022, there was a 120% increase compared to the same period in 2021, solidifying the product’s success within the liberal environment.
According to Mayumi Sato, the company’s CMO, the age group which experienced the most growth are the individuals between 25 and 34 years old (32%), followed by those aged between 45 and 54 (25%), and then those between 35 and 44 years old (19%).
Mayumi highlights some key aspects that contribute to Ysos’ continuous growth year after year. “Ysos is a simple and discreet app for those seeking casual encounters in a safe, non-judgmental environment, unlike other more common dating apps,” she says.
Tips for Getting Started on the App
Begone Fakes!
The specialized team at Ysos employs artificial intelligence resources to prevent fake profiles from gaining traction. However, out of the app, be aware and wary if there are inconsistencies in conversations or profile information, photo manipulations, or excuses when asked to prove the person is real.
Users photos can be in either public or private galleries; users determine who can view them, restricting access for some while stimulating the imagination and desire of others. To ensure a genuine and safe experience, the app includes an inviolable watermark, a security PIN, besides proximity, online profile and age filters.
Pay Attention to Data Protection
To further ensure safety and confidentiality in profiles, get to read about the laws protecting data. If users experience a criminal situation involving unauthorized photo exposure or any other issue, contact the nearest police station and report it.
