Los Angeles, CA / ACCESSWIRE / September 7, 2015 / California Greenworks will be hosting a free concert and environmental expo September 13th, 2015 to raise awareness to environmental issues faced in our local urban communities here in L.A., the event known as EarthFest LA will take place in Culver City’s Parcel B at 9300 Culver Blvd.
The daylong event is emceed by Golden Globe and Emmy Nominated actor and environmentalist Ed Begley, Jr., special guest Senator Kevin De Leon and will include a concert featuring a variety of talented musicians including Kalyde, the Latin Jazz sounds of Freddie Ravel, Billy D and the Hoodoos and Sapphire Road. There will also be an Environmental expo with a number of discussion panels, booths, demonstrations, winetasting, a beer garden as well as many other activities for both parents and kids alike. This year’s event will focus on Climate change energy and water conservation.

The California Greenworks Dr. George Washington Carver Environmental Legacy Award is intended to service as recognition for outstanding devotion to service, innovation and commitment in the areas of environmental justice, equity and humanity. These individuals have distinguished themselves through service within their chosen professions to demonstrate their passion for protecting the environment and service to all mankind. It is from the evidence of their body of work that we (the Board of Director for California Greenworks, Inc.) recognize these achievements.
EarthFest LA is free to the public, and guests are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs, and picnics, and enjoy the family friendly event, while also learning about the environmental issues facing their own communities. The event will also include a variety of food vendors, and food will be available to purchase. EarthFest LA take place Sept. 13, 2015 at the space known as Parcel B 9300 Culver Blvd. Culver City, CA from 11am-6pm.
