English2Dhivehi is a project that provides translation services for English to Dhivehi and aims to make the world know more about the Dhivehi language.

The Maldives is among one of the most exotic tourist destinations in the world. Dhivehi language is the Maldivian native language, and it is suitable for visitors that aim to visit the Maldives to learn a little or more about the native language. The English2Dhivehi is a project that aims to help put Dhivehi language on the global scene. The team has embarked on this project to help the world learn more about the Maldivian native language.

The Dhivehi language is a descendant of Elu Prakrit, closely related to Sinhalese but not mutually intelligible. Many other languages have been influential in the development of Dhivehi through the ages. These different languages include Tamil, Arabic, French, Persian, Portuguese, Hindustani and English.

Part of the project is the creation of the English to Dhivehi website. Users can easily insert any English word or sentence, which will be translated automatically by the website. This will help users interested to learn more about the Dhivehi language by providing accurate translations from English.
