Grace Foods Partners with Publix for 15th Florida Jerk Fest

SUNRISE, FL – Grace Foods,has announced the 15th edition of the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival Florida, to be held on Sunday, November 13 at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida. The oldest of its well-known Jamaican Jerk Festival series, held across the United States, the event will see Grace partnering with the retail giant, Publix, to provide patrons with the best in Caribbean food and entertainment.

Attendees can expect delectable Jamaican jerk treats, along with the finest in tasty Caribbean cuisine during the festival, which kicks off at 10 am. Described as a food lover’s paradise, over 30 booths will be set up throughout the venue, featuring everything jerked, from chicken and pork, to shrimp and lobster, along with classic dishes. Grace Foods will also have its very own kitchen stand, showing people how to create numerous jerk treats using their products.

A Publix Jerk Cook-off Pavilion will showcase the culinary skills of top chefs, such as Andre Fowles, two-time Chopped Champion, and Eddie Jackson, the winner in Season 11 of Next Food Network Star, all competing for the Dutch Pot Trophy. The Pavilion will also have a number of local celebrities competing in a Quick Fire Contest for bragging rights in creating the best jerk dishes.

Designed to provide wholesome fun and entertainment for the entire family, there will also be a Kids’ Zone where children can enjoy face painting, various slides and rides, ice cream and cotton candy treats, along with numerous other activities to keep them occupied throughout the day. Adult entertainment will come from top reggae and Caribbean acts, such as Shaggy and Chaka Demus & Pliers, performing their numerous hits on the main stage. Patrons will also have access to a number of activities, including cultural presentations, netball matches, and a domino tournament.

Leading up to the 15th staging of the Grace Foods Jamaican Jerk Festival, Publix, will be involved in a number of promotional activities, including chef demonstrations in 12 food stores and cooking classes, along with featured product displays. Visitors to the stores will also have chances to win tickets to the Grace Jerk Festival, along with other giveaways, to help build anticipation for the main event.

The 15th staging of the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival is expected to attract foodies from the large Jamaican and Caribbean diaspora, as well as locals interested in West Indian food and culture.
