HDS International Engages Industry Expert Investment Banker
ST. LOUIS, MO / ACCESSWIRE / March 26, 2015 / HDS International Corp. (PINKSHEETS: HDSI), a technology development company, today announced that it has engaged Source Capital Group, Inc. to represent the Company.
SCG’s Senior Managing Director of Investment Banking, Vik Grover, CFA, has 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Grover has been working with HDSI’s new CEO Paul Rauner for over six months to source the capital, distribution agreements, and mergers and acquisitions to bring SirenGPS emergency management software to market. SCG was instrumental in negotiating the Strategic Expansion Agreement that led to Rauner’s control position with HDSI established in March 2015.
In the strategic expansion agreement announced earlier this month, the parties agreed to a phased approach that will “vest” SirenGPS operations in HDSI upon placement of $600,000.00 or more in funding to be sourced no later than September 12, 2015. SCG is responsible for structuring this investment in HDSI and is exploring all options. The Company is currently in discussions with institutional investors and negotiating a total capital commitment of more than $4 million, which is anticipated to make the SirenGPS technology license to HDSI exclusive and enable the companies to move forward on a full blown combination in the future.
Rauner explains, “A common theme in software development is to release an unfinished product. While that may work as a go-to-market plan for software that shares personal messages, there is no room in public safety for experimenting with products that don’t work. After three years and three complete, iterative prototypes, SirenGPS emergency management software has met our standards. It took longer than we had hoped, but the results exceeded our expectations and we are ready to take our solutions to market. We are excited to work with SCG to put our hard work together with the resources to make enhanced emergency management a reality.”
Vik Grover of SCG adds, “Emergency management and response services is an emerging market that has the potential to change the fabric of our society, improve communications in personal, community and national disaster situations, and save lives. The deployment of SirenGPS across the law enforcement community and cross-sell of the platform to schools, universities, hospital systems, fire response and security services organizations, and enterprises will replace today’s outdated 911 and PSAP system and take emergency management into the 21st century and beyond. Further, in many emerging international markets, there simply is no emergency management system in place. We believe this represents a total addressable market in the multiple billions of dollars worldwide, representing a significant growth opportunity for HDSI and its affiliates.”
