Tech event JoomlaDay Australia has announced a new showcase event for its 2019 conference. The showcase will introduce site design awards for websites designed using Joomla.

JoomlaDay Australia committee has announced a new showcase event during their 2019 weekend conference in Brisbane. The showcase will introduce site awards for websites designed using Joomla.

JoomlaDay is an international event for the tech industry, happening annually in numerous countries around the world. The Australian event is happening in Brisbane on August 3rd and 4th, 2019 at the State Library of Queensland in Brisbane.

The new showcase event will consist of a site design award ceremony consisting of five categories, with all entries being shortlisted into four finalists per category. A panel of international judges will choose a winner from the finalists. All event attendees will also be able to vote for a people’s choice award over the duration of the weekend.

Registration for tickets is now open, and early bird tickets are available for a limited time before full price ticketing commences. The ticket price includes a bar tab and finger food at the Saturday networking event, access to all seminars and workshops, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on both event days, and a JoomlaDay Australia 2019 polo shirt.

The event organizers have put the call out for speakers and encourage industry professionals to apply to give presentations and host workshops. They will review applications for a range of topics at varying skill levels and encourage both experienced and first-time speakers to apply. Applications for speakers close on June 30th, 2019.

People interested in taking the Joomla administrator exam can do so and become Joomla certified at the conference. Topics covered in the exam include Joomla architecture, preparing and installing the software, website structure, managing and editing articles and much more.
