KIS International School in Bangkok launches an Early Years Prep program for two-year-olds, prioritizing personalized attention and a comprehensive curriculum.

Bangkok, Thailand — March 29, 2024 — KIS International School, a leading IB World school in Bangkok, is thrilled to announce the addition of the Early Years Prep program for two-year-olds starting in August 2024.

Established in 1998, KIS has been a beacon of academic excellence for 25 years, becoming an authorized IB World school in 2000. With over 40 nationalities represented in its diverse community, KIS offers the full spectrum of IB programs, including the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and Career-related Programme (CP).

The newly introduced EY Prep program for two-year-olds is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and is accredited by the Ministry of Education. Maintaining a low teacher-to-student ratio of 1:4 to ensure personalized attention for each child, the program will have a maximum of 16 students per class, with a carefully crafted curriculum covering key developmental areas such as personal, social, and emotional development, communication and language, physical development, cognitive development, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design.

The teaching staff for the EY Prep program comprises two dedicated educators, including a Thai teacher with international teaching experience and a teacher from Scotland, a long-standing member of the KIS community. The class schedule is set from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, and Thai language instruction, delivered by a native Thai speaker, will be embedded into communication and language development within the class.

The EYFS curriculum aligns with the IB PYP framework, emphasizing inquiry-based learning, play, and child development. This alignment ensures a seamless transition from EY Prep to the broader Early Years program at KIS.
