Come December 5, 2021 La Jolla Mobile Car Detail will once again be a part of a major community event: the annual La Jolla Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival. Last year’s theme was Christmas at the Cove: Celebrating the Cove – in the Time of COVID, and the protocol was modified to match the circumstances. The motto of this year’s parade marks a return to the roots, and it is true to the festival’s mission to keep the tradition alive: “Spirit of La Jolla”– Celebrating Our Hometown Heroes.

It’s our family’s tenth year since we’ve also participated with my mom’s company Martina’s Transportation for so long so it’s definitely a special family tradition. She’s honestly the big deal having been in La Jolla so long that her business isn’t just a business, it’s an institution that people share stories about from around the world. This will sound corny but it’s true, she’s my Hometown Hero. You also see a lot of other organizations who have been around for years and years so there’s definitely a sense of community and tradition when you keep bumping into the same people for so long” – says the founder of La Jolla Mobile Car Detail Dennis Donchev.
Dennis adds: “Last year they had to change up the format where the participants were in one place on the side and the audience drove through for distancing. It was definitely an adjustment but it was also a fun and intuitive way to make it happen. We had fun and I was right next to my mom’s business so the whole family was there supporting each other. Saw a lot of familiar faces and we know this year will be extra special. During the upcoming parade, we plan on playing Latin music and dancing to spice things up!”.
